Get ready to learn things not traditionally taught to medical doctors!
Some of the things you will hear Dr. Buttar and Robert talk about in this week’s show are:

  • Your old dental fillings probably contain mercury — are they dangerous? Dating back at least to the 1980s, experts have debated the safety of metal “amalgam” cavity fillings, which contain a mixture of metals like silver, copper, nickel and—most alarmingly—mercury. The American Dental Association (ADA) has long taken the position that mercury in these amalgam fillings is safe. “Amalgam is a valuable, viable and safe choice for dental patients,” according to a report from the ADA’s Council on Scientific Affairs.
  • Rise in religious exemptions from vaccines worry officials. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has expressed concern over an increase in the number of religious exemptions claimed to avoid vaccinations. The Post & Courier of Charleston reports department data indicates the number of religious exemptions increased nearly 70 percent between 2013 and 2017, rising to 8,074 exemptions during the 2016-2017 school year. South Carolina does not allow parents to claim personal exemptions to avoid school vaccine rules, but children are allowed to attend public school if they qualify for a medical or religious exemption.
  • Suicide Data Incorrectly Reported in Drug Trials, Suit Claimed. For many years GlaxoSmithKline and its predecessor, SmithKline Beecham, marketed Paxil as an antidepressant that would reduce the risk of suicide in depressed patients. The results of the company’s clinical trials, presented to the Food and Drug Administration in 1989, suggested Paxil was far safer than a placebo. Back then, the company reported that among nearly 3,000 patients treated with Paxil in the worldwide clinical trials, five committed suicide — a rate of about one in 600. By contrast, there were two suicides in a much smaller group of 554 patients randomly assigned to take a placebo pill — a rate of about one in 275, more than double that of the Paxil group. But documents made public in the course of the lawsuit filed against Glaxo by Wendy Dolin, who alleges that paroxetine, a generic form of Paxil, contributed to the suicide of her husband, Stewart, suggest an alternate view.
  • Almost 650 girls needed medical intervention after HPV vaccine. Almost 650 girls in Ireland reported requiring medical intervention or treatment after receiving the HPV vaccine, according to data collected by the State’s medicines watchdog. The Health Products Regulatory Authority has received 1,099 reports of adverse reactions and events associated with the use of the vaccine, but it said that this should not be taken as evidence of a causal link and that the benefits continue to outweigh the potential risks.
  • A new tool tells you how many years air pollution is stealing from you based on where you live .Air pollution is the single largest environmental health risk humans face, according to the World Health Organization, but what does that mean for you? Researchers have put together a map based on new findings that show, depending on where you live, how many years of life that gritty air is stealing. In China, the “airpocalypse” is shortening the Chinese lifespan by more than three years, while in India, air pollution can cut a person’s lifespan by four years on average (and nearly a decade for someone in the capital New Delhi). Things aren’t looking good for the US either, if you live in California.

  • Aluminum salts in deodorants caused CANCER, and Switzerland may be the first nation in the world to BAN them  Switzerland is slated to become the first country to ban deodorants that contain aluminum salts. This, following results of a 2016 study indicating that the toxic chemicals may play a role in breast cancer onset. The country’s National Councilvoted 126 to 58 in favor of approving a bill instructing the Federal Council to consider banning aluminum salts from being used in antiperspirant. The measure also urges that Federal Council to commission research that would prove a causal relationship between deodorant use and increased breast cancer risk.

This potential effect is significant.

Get ready to learn things not traditionally taught to medical doctors!
Some of the things you will hear Dr. Buttar and Robert talk about in this week’s show are:

  • Scientists for the first time have successfully edited genes in human embryos to repair a common and serious disease-causing mutation, producing apparently healthy embryos, according to a study published on Wednesday.
  • The doctor who created a genetically modified “three-parent baby” has been reprimanded by the Food and Drug Administration for aggressively marketing the unapproved experimental procedure.
  • Early life antibiotic exposure causes intestinal dysbiosis and exacerbates skin and lung pathology in experimental systemic sclerosis.
  • A new study has found a way of manipulating the differentiation of T cells in the immune system so as to strike a balance between pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cells. This discovery may have implications for treating autoimmune diseases and some types of cancer.
  • The more flame retardants a pregnant woman is exposed to, the greater the chances her child will have lower intelligence. A new paper in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives calculated that every tenfold increase in exposure to chemicals called polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) was linked to a 3.7 point decline in IQ test scores in children. This potential effect is significant.
  • The number of studies that show that partial immunization via available HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccines is not only insufficient at reducing overall HPV infection rates; the vaccines actually cause rarer, more lethal types of HPV to sweep in and the net effect could be devastating increases in HPV-related cancers.

Get ready to learn things not traditionally taught to medical doctors!
Some of the things you will hear Dr. Buttar and Robert talk about in this week’s show are:

  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder affects millions of children in the United States every year. While it is not yet known what causes the condition, scientists have pointed to a variety of risk factors. New research suggests that a child’s birth date may affect the chances of being diagnosed with the condition.  The analysis revealed that the youngest children in a school class are more likely to receive ADHD medication than their older classmates.

  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has the dubious distinction of being the fastest-growing developmental disability in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With 1 in every 68 children born in this country diagnosed with ASD, parents are looking everywhere for answers about best treatments. Along with selective medication to treat certain symptoms, traditional treatments include intensive behavioral approaches. But with no “one-size-fits-all” treatment approach, parents often turn to diverse complementary and alternative therapies.

  • Many American men are infected with the cancer-causing human papillomavirus (HPV), but unlike women, men are more likely to stay infected throughout their lives, a new study finds. About 45 percent of U.S. men are infected with the sexually transmitted disease, as are 45 percent of women. Among women, the prevalence of HPV infection drops to about 22 percent as they age, but it remains high among men, said lead researcher Dr. Jasmine Han. She is in the division of gynecologic oncology at Womack Army Medical Center, in Fort Bragg, N.C.

  • The risk of dying from cervical cancer may be much higher than experts previously believed – particularly among older and black women, according to a new study. Black women in the US are dying from the disease at a rate 77 percent higher and white women at a rate 47 percent higher, according to the study by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore.

  • The first results from a major project to measure the reliability of cancer research have highlighted a big problem: Labs trying to repeat published experiments often can’t. That’s not to say that the original studies are wrong. But the results of a review published Thursday, in the open-access journal eLife, are a sobering reminder that science often fails at one of its most basic requirements — an experiment in one lab ought to be reproducible in another one.

Get ready to learn things not traditionally taught to medical doctors!
Some of the things you will hear Dr. Buttar and Robert talk about in this week’s show are:

  • Zika has been linked to birth defects. Now it may be causing paralysis?

  • The prevalence of human papillomavirus (HPV) infections among teenage girls in the United States has dropped by more than 60 percent since the vaccine against the cancer-causing virus was introduced a decade ago, according to a new study.  However, researchers are still disappointed that only 42% of girls in the recommended age rage have received the vaccine which requires 3 doses over 6 months. Could this drop in numbers also just be due to an increased awareness of the dangers of STD’s?

  •  March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and the perfect time to think about colon health.  Less than half of people aged 50 and older get tested for colon cancer, but early detection can save lives. Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in the US, yet it has a 90 percent cure rate when detected early, Rather than waiting around to see if we get it…what can we be doing pro-actively to detox and clean our gut and colon??  Remember, we have the ability every day to put good things into our system, and help the bad stuff get out.

  • Is there a treatment for cancer that is 10,000 times more effective than chemo?  Yes, and it’s in your kitchen according to recently published study in PLoS.  It indicates that a substance found in ginger called 6-shogaol is a potent agent in fighting breast cancer—much more potent than chemotherapy and much less dangerous.  That’s fantastic news!  Adding fresh ginger into the diet via cold-pressed juice is a great option for anyone!

  • It probably won’t seem like much of a surprise, but a recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revealed that a stunning number of Americans are still not getting enough sleep. According to a report from Entrepreneur, the latest surveys revealed that adults in all 50 states and the District of Columbia are not getting the amount of sleep they need.  7 hours is the recommended amount, and apparently those in the mid-west plains states are the best rested. The further south you go, and especially Hawaii get the least sleep.  Watch out for the walking dead in a Starbucks near you!

  • Speaking of sleep, having sleep apnea may increase the risk of chronic kidney disease, according to a report from Taiwan. After taking other health factors into account, sleep apnea increased the risk of kidney disease by 58%. By comparison, hypertension (a known risk factor for kidney disease) increased the risk by 17%. Diabetes was a stronger predictor than both other factors, more than doubling the risk of kidney disease, the research team reported online.  In general, the healthier your body is, the better you will sleep, so all of this factors are tied together, and need to be treated in tandem.  Tonight, maybe try a little yoga or deep breathing before bed.  Turn off your wifi, imagine your in the middle of no-where South Dakota…and sleep like a baby!

Get ready to learn things not traditionally taught to medical doctors!
Some of the things you will hear Dr. Buttar and Robert talk about in this week’s show are:

  • A new study shows parents who go online to find out about the vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted disease that causes cervical cancer, may have a hard time finding accurate information.  Could it be that the majority of the available information is propaganda from the medical industrial complex?
  • The pharmaceutical company that came under fire for raising the price of the anti-parasite drug Daraprim says it will significantly lower the drug cost for hospitals, but not the overall list price. Daraprim, a drug by Turing Pharmaceuticals used to treat toxoplasmosis, had a list price of $750 per dose as of October 2015 — up from $18 per pill before Turing Pharmaceuticals bought the drug in August. Turing CEO Martin Shkreli, under fire for jacking up the price, had said back in September that he would lower it, but did not give details at the time. However, on Tuesday, Nancy Retzlaff, Turing’s Chief Commercial Officer, pledged that no patient would be denied the drug based on their inability to pay and announced various price cuts to hospitals.
  • The GOP-led Congress wants to hand the IRS the keys to your freedom. The highway funding bill now making its way past lawmakers includes a provision that would allow the government to yank your passport if you owe the IRS more than $50,000.
  • Since Chinese officials slapped GlaxoSmithKline with a $489 million fine on bribery charges, the company has overhauled its sales practices to quash corruption. But some say its reforms could hurt its top line at a time when the company’s already suffering. GSK has eliminated sales-based compensation incentives for reps, nixed doctor speaking fees and tripled an in-house compliance team that now checks every submitted receipt. The company says its staff is on board with those anti-corruption moves.

  • Doesn’t the right of refusal to vaccinate rest with the parents? Or do your children belong to the government and the state sanctioned religion of modern medicine?
  • What causes Parkinson’s disease? Is it another genetic defect, as claimed by interests within the pharmaceutical industrial complex? Or could it be more evidence of an inability to clear toxins from deep within the cells of the body?
